Leadex Titanium is modular and supports SLI and CrossFire

For the most part, there needs to be some sort of balance between price and performance in order for a product to sell. After a certain point, however, it makes more sense to cram as many features as possible, even if the end result costs a small fortune.

High-end graphics cards are one example of this, like the NVIDIA GeForce GTX Titan X and Titan-Z, or AMD's Radeon HD 7990X.

On the CPU front, most Core i7 and even some Core i5 Intel CPUs qualify. Meanwhile, DDR4 or highly overclocked DDR3 memory modules and kits represent the high-end RAM market.

It goes on and on like that, on every layer of the technology industry, just like on most every other segment of the worldwide market.

The high-end product we're going to cover here is a power supply unit called Leadex Titanium, owing to the 80 Plus Titanium specification.

The SuperFlower Leadex Titanium 1600W

At 20%, 50% and 100% load, the power supply unit exhibits an efficiency of 92%, 94% and 90%, respectively. This is why it earned 80 Plus Titanium certification.

80Plus Titanium is the highest possible power efficiency rating achieved by any PSU, with 80 Plus Platinum and 80 Plus Gold right below it.

In the meantime, 80 Plus Silver is rather underrepresented, but 80 Plus Bronze has a strong presence worldwide.

The SuperFlower Leadex Titanium 1600W is also fully modular, meaning that you yourself choose which of the cables to connect. Even the 20+4-Pin ATX12V/EPS12V motherboard power cable, and the 8-Pin EPS12V CPU cable, which are mandatory if the system is to boot at all, are left to your discretion.

The full cable loadout is quite expansive, with 14 SATA connectors, five MOLEX, nine 6+2 pin PCI Express cables (for up to four add-in graphics cards in multi-board synergy) and two floppy drive links, even though barely anyone uses those nowadays.

Finally, the PSU has full-range automatic voltage detection (100 to 240V), RoHS/WEEE Compliance (it's green!), and protections against any mishaps due to current surges/drops and the like. SuperFlower even put it through 2,000 on/off tests to ensure endurance.

Availability and pricing

The SuperFlower Leadex Titanium 1600W power supply should be up for order soon, with a 5-year warranty, for the price of €350 / $350 - $400. 80 Plus Platinum and lower models are also on sale, for progressively lower prices.
