A popular weight loss support forum falls victim to hackers

A hacker called Le0nB3lm0nt breached minimins.com, a popular weight loss support forum, leaking the website’s entire database, totaling 80,461 record sets.

A Pastebin post that contains sample data reveals that email addresses, usernames and password hashes were made available by the hacker.

According to DatalossDB, the organization became aware of the incident on March 22, but the site doesn’t mention anything about the incident and there are no advisories published for the affected users.

Hopefully, MiniMins is taking all the measures to ensure that the accounts of their customers don’t fall into the wrong hands. This includes forcing them to reset their passwords when they log in and notifying them via email.

We recommend Minimins account holders to change their passwords as a form of precaution and also to be on the lookout for any malicious emails that may land in their inboxes. Phishing emails that rely on the incident are also a possibility that users should be aware of.
