Some rumors say that Samsung could unveil the upcoming Galaxy Tab S3 during IFA 2016, but there are few details on the new device. Meanwhile, the South Korean giant will be revealing the Galaxy Note 7 during the Unpacked event on August 2, and according to new information, the company is also working on a new tablet with an S Pen.

Word is that Samsung is also working on a new tablet, which has just recently passed through the FCC, according to Ausdroid. The listing shows that the tablet features the model number SM-P585. It's important to note that the device seems to have an 8.0-inch display and comes with an S Pen stylus.

In addition, connectivity options include 802.11a/b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2 LE, location services, and a LTE modem, which covers bands 1,3, 5, 7, 8, 20 and 40.

The tablet comes with an S Pen stylus and resembles the Galaxy Note 8.0

The rear camera will also have a flash for capturing images in low light conditions, but information on screen type or resolution is quite scarce. The device appears to run a version of Android, most likely Marshmallow 6.0.1, considering that Google is just weeks away from unveiling its latest operating system.

The tablet will be coming with an S Pen stylus, and this means that it could be a variant of the Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016), which has the model number SM-T585. The FCC listing does come with a sketch of the device, which seems to resemble the Galaxy Note 8.0 that was released in February 2013.

Samsung is also expected to unveil the Galaxy Tab S3 in early September, possibly on the first day of the month. Some reports say that the tablet could actually debut together with the Gear S3. In addition, the device could sport a 9.7-inch display that would have a resolution of 2048 x 1536, and there's also a 4,000mAh battery. More details are bound to surface soon, as the supposed launch date is approaching.
