A twin from Rocky Mount, North Carolina wrote an endearing letter to Santa, asking him to put an end to the bullying his sister suffers at school.

8-year-old Ryan Suffern asks Santa to stop his sister's bullies. He explains having prayed to God for that already, but concluding that God is just too busy.

He wants Santa Claus to give God a hand and help his sister, Amber. He gives up his own wishes to a remote control helicopter or car, if that means putting a smile on Amber's face.

"Dear Santa … I wanted a [remote control] car and helicopter, but I don't want that any mor. Kid at school are still picking on Amber and its not fair because she doesnt do anything to them [sic]," he writes.

Single mom Karen Suffern read the letter then posted it to Facebook, where she received input from a lot of concerned parents.

"It’s amazing and overwhelming at the same time. [...] Initially, I was kind of upset because it reached so many people and I’m a private person but now I think it’s a topic that needs to be discussed before it becomes too late," Suffern shares.

She discussed the bullying with her son and discovered that it mostly takes place on the bus. She talked to the school, and it helped her daughter get moved next to her cousin.

"The school has been in touch and they're making sure my daughter feels comfortable and safe. They moved her on the bus because about 98 percent of the bullying takes place on the bus. She's now sitting with her cousin who's much older than Amber is," Suffern explains to ABC News.

Amber has ADHD and she has also suffered from depression and a mood disorder. However, since her mom has stepped in, she is feeling better at school and at home.

"Today and yesterday she didn’t wake up begging me to let her stay home, so I guess that’s a good sign," she says.
