Codemasters is sending out word that it has released the 8 Ball pack for its most recent racing simulation, GRID. You can log on to your Xbox Live account or to the PlayStation Network in order to get the full content right now. If you are playing the game on the Microsoft made Xbox 360, you need to get ready to spend 800 Microsoft Points for the DLC, while those using a PlayStation 3 will have to pay no less than 7.99 Euros for the 8 Ball pack to get their racing fix.

There are several new cars introduced by Codemasters. The downloadable content pack offers players a chance to race using the McLaren F1 GTR, the TVR Cerbera Speed 12, the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X, the Honda S2000, the Nissan GT-R aka S-G2008, the VW Nardo, the Pontiac Firebird Trans AM and the Volvo C30.

There are also two new multiplayer events included, with the promise that if they turn interesting to players, Codemaster might come up with more additions.

Those playing GRID on the Xbox 360 can also get 100 more Gamerpoints through four Achievements: Jack Of All Trades can be obtained if you manage to win an online race in each of the 8 Ball pack cars; Drift Master is up for grabs if the player can achieve a 99x combo in the Honda S2000; Gas Guzzler is for those who use a car to go for more than 250 miles, while Clean Passing is the hardest to get, as it implies winning a clean race in an 8 Ball Pack car from last position.

After its launch earlier in the year, the game was appreciated for its graphics, the way the cars handled and the unique rewind mechanics, which allowed players to rewind time in order to replay sections where they had destroyed their cars.
