A survey by 11mark titled “IT in the Toilet” aims to show that people are so addicted to their mobile phones they’ll use them anywhere, including the bathroom. And iPhone owners are not shy of admitting it either.

In fact, a high number of iPhone users said they had used their smartphone in the jon - some 77 percent of the 1,000 respondents polled by 11mark.

Android and BlackBerry users are even more attached to their devices when it comes to bathroom usage - 87 and 84 percent, respectively.

iPhone and Droid users are the most likely to browse a social network or use an app, according to the survey.

Nicole Burdette, principal of 11mark, said “The writing is on the stall. This study confirms what we all know – that the last private place is no longer private. And, that the ‘mobile-everywhere’ phenomenon is flushing out a host of new opportunities for savvy communicators.”
