Apple’s Special Deals section is featuring one of the cheapest prices we’ve ever seen on a MacBook computer - $759 for a Refurbished MacBook 2.26GHz Intel Core 2 Duo. Also under $1,000 is a pre-owned MacBook Pro 2.26GHz Intel Core 2 Duo with a 13-inch display and aluminum, unibody enclosure.

In fact, both Apple’s 13-inch White MacBook and the 13-inch Aluminum MacBook Pro come in a unibody design, with a glossy LED-backlit glossy widescreen display, 2GB of standard memory, NVIDIA GeForce 9400M graphics, an 8x slot-loading SuperDrive (DVD±R DL/DVD±RW/CD-RW) and built-in iSight camera. The only differences between the $759 and $929 refurbs are the SD card slot - missing on the polycarbonate MacBook, and the 250GB hard drive - missing on the aluminum Pro, which only ships with 160GB of standard storage space. The processors and their respective clock speeds are identical for both laptops, as is the lifespan of the battery on a single charge - seven hours.

Avid Softpedia readers may recall that Apple has recently introduced an upgraded version of the 13-inch polycarbonate MacBook, featuring a more powerful 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor (3MB shared level 2 cache), and an NVIDIA GeForce 320M graphics solution with 256MB of DDR3 SDRAM shared with main memory. Additionally, Apple threw in its new battery, for a total of ten hours of wireless productivity.

Visit Apple’s online store here to get the best of the company’s Special Deals, and here, for the brand-new, factory-sealed models.
