Seton Hall is one of the universities that have already made the move to Windows 8 and according to student feedback, Microsoft’s new operating system is a lot better than its predecessors.

According to a report by TabTimes citing data provided by the New Jersey university, 75 percent of the students have revealed that Windows 8 is better than Windows 7, although specific details on this comparison haven’t been provided.

The Surface RT is also enjoying a terrific success, with 80 percent of the students claiming that the tablet’s screen size, weight and form factor are simply great.

Last but not least, 45 percent of them also said that they sometimes find it inconvenient to move around with the tablet and the keyboard, even though the Surface RT comes with the thinnest keyboard in the world measuring only 3mm.

Microsoft going on giving many news on Windows 8 but Without Proof. Previously, Microsoft only gives out news only with Proof. I think Ballmer is trying to fake figures to make Windows 8 sales better. But most people who bought upgrade/through msdn/technet only found it unworthy except for faster OS. And these current figures came mostly by the reason, MS gave more offers/contests/prizes to student app developers. So to make their apps come to store, students could've voted on Windows 8.

We're using Windows 8 at our school and the students can't get enough of it. We're piloting Surface RT now and will be moving to it next year.

It's like owning a big- * smart phone . . . and you get Windows 7 on steroids as a bonus.

Windows 8 sold 60 million licenses in its first three months--just like the wildly successful Windows 7. Windows 8 is not a flop. It is a success.
