Anti-Israel messages were posted on the defaced sites

Hackers part of the Pak Cyber Pirates crew breached and defaced a number of 700 websites in a variation of Operation Free Palestine called Operation Freedom Palestine.

Judging by the Pastebin post made by the hackers, the mass defacement is a result of a breach that affected a South African server.

Most of the sites' names end in .za, which is the internet country code top-level domain for South Africa, being administrated by a company called Zadna.

The message posted on the affected webpages is similar to the one displayed on past occasions by the Pak Cyber Army.

“You can imprison our Pakistani brothers but you cannot imprison our hope. We will fight till the end, and we are coming to take revenge,” reads part of the message.

The list of victims was made available today, on March 23, and so far none of the sites has been restored.
