As a part of Microsoft's "Patch Tuesday" for July, the Redmond Company has announced that it will release 7 security updates. The number is considerably lower than the precious month when the
patches package comprised no less than a dozen fixes. This time around, Microsoft will tackle just Windows and Office bugs, according to company representatives. In this regard, although it has literally been pouring IE vulnerabilities, Microsoft will issue only four bulletins for Windows and three for Office. Out of the seven vulnerabilities addressed in this patch release, the Redmond Company is expected to rank at leas one in each program as critical.
The actual number of bulletins could change come July 11th, but it will not vary to a great degree from the advanced notification and the actual release date. All of the patches will be detectable via Microsoft Baseline Security Analyzer and the Enterprise Scan Tool. Making the best out of this situation, the Redmond Company will also issue an updated version of the Microsoft Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool. This will be available through Windows Update, Microsoft Update, Windows Server Update Services and the Download Center.
Sources within the company have reveled that Microsoft will host a webcast somewhere in the space of next week in order to answer any questions related to these bulletins. Until the time of this article, no additional information was made available concerning the July 11th security updates.
