Over the past few years, AIS has rolled out a very large number of computing products designed specifically for the industrial segment and human-machine interface (HMI) applications, and that's also the case with their latest announcement, namely the NEMA 12 Industrial panel PC, a 7-inch widescreen fanless touch panel PC that, beside HMI, also targets building, factory automation and SCADA applications.

The AIS 7” widescreen touch panel PC features a compact rugged steel housing, while the aluminum front bezel has been sealed to IP54 standards for water/dustproof protection, thus enabling the systems to operate in the adverse conditions.

As mentioned before, the device comes equipped with a 7” widescreen TFT LCD display, delivering 400 nits of brightness and high-contrast for optimal operator control and monitoring, integrated 4 wire resistive touch for compact & rugged HMI platforms, as well as LED backlighting system for low power consumption and energy saving.

The system from AIS also sports a built-in Intel Atom Processor, enabled chipset, BIOS and optimized operating system (Windows OS), as well as non-volatile solid state storage for high reliability and ruggedness.

Moreover, the system features communication ports supporting RS-232, RS-485, and Ethernet for Modbus or Modbus/TCP protocols enabling connectivity to a variety of control systems.

The touch screen fanless Panel PC can be integrated directly into your PAC, PLC, DCS, factory SCADA systems, operator terminals and automation applications, due to then numerous connectivity options and enhanced versatility it provides.

In fact, the fact that it can be very easily deployed in a variety of environments, while in the same time delivering a high level of reliability, represents the main selling point this system has to offer.

Unfortunately, since we're talking about an industrial-grade product, the manufacturer has not provided any significant information regarding the pricing of their new 7-inch touch panel PC, but if you happen to be looking for a quotation, you can contact them directly.
