Wikipad, the company that plans to build the tablet with the same name, has just announced their product will be available on the market sometime this Spring.
The slate was initially scheduled for a 2012 release, but due to some flaw found in the pilot production run, Wikipad was forced to delay the tablet indefinitely.
The folks over at
AndroidGuys report Wikipad has just confirmed the 7-inch tablet will be available for purchase for only $250/€185.
Wikipad is a gaming
tablet that will offer users access to PlayStation Mobile, Big Fish Games, TegraZone, Google Play, OnLive and many other services.
Hardware-wise, the Wikipad will come equipped with a quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 processor, 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory which can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD memory card.
The slate will be powered by Google’s Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system and will come with a detachable gamepad controller. It is also worth mentioning that the 7-inch IPS capacitive touchscreen display features a 16:10 aspect ratio.
