Instagram hasn’t released a Windows Phone 8 client as of now, but owners of devices powered by this platform can enjoy third-party apps that connect them with the service, including the popular 6tag.

Updated with a variety of new features and capabilities during the past few months, the app is about to receive a new enhancement, namely selective manual blurring of pictures, as WMPoweruser notes.

Rudy Huyn, the developer of this application, has already started teasing the feature, as can be seen in the video embedded above.

The enhancement is expected to arrive alongside 6tag 1.6, though no specific info on when that might happen has been provided.

The currently available version 1.5 of the application arrived last week with the option to share an existing Instagram post, new Instagram securities, the ability to view posts around your position, and 2 new live tiles (one for feeds and one for profile).

You can download 6tag for Windows Phone 8 from Softpedia today.
