6Scan comes with three plans: Watchtower, Fortress, and Enterprise. The first is completely free and includes the Patrol feature, which we’ll further detail, email notifications and community support.
The Fortress plan costs $10 (7 EUR) per month and it comes with extra features such as Bodyguard, zero-day research, SMS and email notifications, and premium email support. The Enterprise plan doesn’t have a fixed price, the bonus features compared to the previous plan being the 24/7 site monitoring, and 24/7 phone support.
The Patrol scanner mentioned earlier probes websites by imitating the actions a real hacker would make. The combination of heuristic scanning and online sources reveals the weak spots that may exist in the site.
The best part about the Patrol feature is that it never interferes with traffic, performing its tasks seamlessly in the background.
The Bodyguard agent receives the data obtained by Patrol and patches up the security holes that exist in the site.
The zero-day research refers to the fact that a team of ex-military hackers is constantly searching for undocumented vulnerabilities to ensure that the Patrol scanner always knows how to identify the latest flaws that may be leveraged by hackers.
The cloud technologies that power the plugin allow for the remediation of newly-found vulnerabilities to be an easy and quick process, which basically means that once a new flaw is discovered, the Bodyguard agent will almost immediately know what needs to be patched up.
6Scan can be installed just like any other plugin and it requires no further maintenance once it’s activated. The vulnerabilities found are displayed in the software’s dashboard, but it requires no interaction from the user.
