As far as surprises go, the announcement of 55-inch and 65-inch UHD TVs in South Korea isn't one of them.

After all, Samsung couldn't have possibly decided that the overpriced 85-inch model already on sale was enough.

The 55-inch and 65-inch models will be released next month, and their 3840 x 2160 panels will be suspended in the air by the same easel-like supports as on the original.

Sadly, we do not know what the prices will be. The 85-inch TV ships for $39,999 / €39,999, so the smaller ones will be cheaper, but not by too much. Like all top-tier products, they will significantly affect customer finances.

The new TVs will support Micro Dimming, resolution upscaling and upgrades via Samsung Evolution Kit. Go here to read all about what that means.
