Microsoft has still to update the WGA tool in response

It has many names: "Timer Crack", "2099 Crack" or even "Timer Stopper Crack". Microsoft has confirmed the existence of the Windows Vista activation workaround and a representative of the Windows Genuine Advantage stated that the company will address the problem with "corrective action." In this regard, the Microsoft representative promised that the Windows Genuine Advantage will be updated "soon" to handle the problem.

The Windows Vista Timer Stopper Crack involves resetting the BIOS clock year to 2099 and applying a patch in order to circumvent the operating system's activation mechanism. As Microsoft has failed to address the patch as yet with an update for WGA, the users that choose to illegally activate their copies of Windows Vista with the Timer Stopper Crack can access updates from the Redmond Company with no issues.

As the crack involves installing Windows Vista without entering a product key, it will be difficult for Microsoft's WGA tool to distinguish between genuine copies of the operating system that have not been activated and those activated with the Timer Stopper workaround.

One consolation that Microsoft had so far was the fact that the Timer Stopper Crack was a viable solution only for 32-bit editions of Windows Vista. Reports in the wild stated that 64-bit versions of the operating system could not be activated with the 2099 Crack. Well, as of yesterday, January 3, those reports have changed. According to one source, the Windows Vista Timer Stopper Crack is functional not only with 32-bit Vista but also with the 64-bit editions.

On one website that delivers the patch necessary to be applied to the operating system in order to complete the Vista activation with the Timer Stopper Crack, the 4.41 KB file had been downloaded 18,292 times, at the time of this article. But I must emphasize, the 18.292 downloads are from a single website.
