The PSU uses a single +12V High AMP rail design and has high efficiency

As one of the IT companies involved in more than one segment of the industry, EVGA always has something to show, or on the way to completion. Here is its latest contribution to the power supply market.

Called EVGA 600B, it's actually a pretty standard piece of equipment, not too fancy but not too weak either.

Basically, it's the sort of power supply that should end up selling better than most others, simply because it's pretty balanced in terms of price-performance.

The wattage of 600W will let it handle most common system configurations, and even some of the stronger ones.

The 80% energy efficiency helps there. It actually earned the 600B 80 Plus Bronze certification.

Now, some may think that's reason to believe the newcomer is an entry-level PSU. After all, 80 Plus Bronze is the lowest rating on the scale.

That's not really true, though. There is a regular 80 Plus rating, and there are plenty of PSUs that have no 80 Plus rating at all.

Those are low-end models, and sometimes even they have an output higher than the 600B, so that's not a perfect classification either.

Anyway, the point is that EVGA 600B is a solid choice for mainstream users and even those that want to make a better-than-average gaming system.

As long as they don't go overboard with multiple graphics cards, they've got nothing to worry about.

But we digress. Back to the specs, the newcomer is made with a Single +12V High AMP rail design (responsible for the efficiency), Over Power/Under Power/Over Voltage/Short Circuit protection built in, and Auto Fan technology for near-silent operation.

Finally, it supports the low power states that Intel Haswell CPUs can enter, so no worries on that front either. You'll learn more from the product page, but don't expect a price.
