We already know that tablets rule supreme in consumer’s preferences, but have you ever wondered what the by-products of this predilection are?

To answer the question, online retailer eBay has commissioned a study with analytics firm Conlumino, in order to discover what kind of tablets people are buying and what they use them for.

The survey findings indicate Brits buy small-framed tablets and use them to shop online. The study questioned 1,205 tableters from the UK throughout the month of December 2013, says Pocket-lint. 60% of the participants were shown to be shopping more than before, and this finding is attributed to the uptake of smaller slates.

60% of all the tablets purchased on eBay in the last three months, turned out to be smaller-sized tablets. The study also found that 80% of respondents use their device to shop, while 60% claimed that the tablet would help them purchase more gifts this holiday season.

When they shop online, customers like to be comfy with 71% of tableters preferring the sofa, while 50% claim they like to shop in bed. Are Brits turning into a nation of slobs?
