A number of six TV station sites hosted on the main domain of the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (irib.ir) have been defaced by hackers part of the Cocain Team.

According to The Hacker News, the sites of Guilan, Ilam Yasouj, Kermanshah, Kordestan and Kerman have been breached and altered to display a page that promotes the 7 Sin Day, which the hackers call “the biggest and first holiday in the world.”

IRIB, formerly known as the National Iranian Radio and Television, is a corporation that controls the national television so it shouldn’t come as a surprise that hackers chose its websites to spread their message.

The affected sites are currently working normally, mainly because the hackers didn’t replace their index pages, instead they added their own HTML webpage called 7sin.html.
