A road was closed off in New Jersey after a tanker truck driver spilled its load of scotch then crashed it.

6,000 gallons (22,712 liters) of whiskey were spilled on the Garden State Parkway in Woodbrige, in the Fords area.

As you can see in the photo above, the spillage took place in a residential neighborhood. The truck also caught on fire after it came to a halt on King Georges Road.

Fortunately, the driver suffered only minor injuries and no by-standers or residents were hurt. He was transported to Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy Division for a check-up.

According to a statement by Chief Dan Gregan of the Fords Fire Co., conveyed by My Central Jersey, the vehicle ran down a pole and crashed into a Cadillac before catching fire.
