Sales will begin in the second half of the year, for $9,000 / 7000 Euro

That 55-inch OLED TV that we saw at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES 2012) might finally go up for sale.

It appears that Samsung has officially introduced a production model of that display, praising the color reproduction in particular.

Since the S9500 OLED TV, as it is called, lights each pixel individually, the color reproduction is 20% better and the overall picture quality is higher.

As a bonus, the bezel of the TV is thin and streamlined, so that it may fit the tastes of everyone, or close enough.

Sales of the 55-inch OLED TV are expected to start in the second half of the year, which could be anywhere from two to eight months from now. We're guessing two or three at most, unless the company decides on the back-to-school or holiday seasons for some reason.

Unfortunately, the price of $9,000 / 7,000 Euro won't allow many people to come near it.
