Microsoft’s top-of-the-range Surface Pro 2 is no longer available, as the company ran out of tablets this morning, after experiencing a terrific demand for this particular model.

The official Microsoft Store page of the tablet is now showing an “out of stock” notification, with Microsoft saying absolutely nothing as to when the device could be again up for grabs.

The 512 GB Surface Pro 2 is priced at $1800 (€1350) and runs the full version of Windows 8.1 Pro, but doesn’t include any other accessories, such as Touch or Type Covers.

All the other Surface Pros are still available for buyers, so in case you want to purchase a Microsoft tablet running Windows 8.1 Pro and providing support for legacy desktop applications, you can always choose the 64 GB or 128 GB versions.
