Wii amd DS gamers have had the great privilege of playing Cooking Mama and probably still do (it's not the kind of title to get bored of so easily). This time however, 505 Games has joined forces with Cooking Mama Ltd., a subsidiary of Japanese developer Office Create, in order to offer a sequel of the cooking game to Europe's DS and Wii gamers: Cooking Mama 2.

As the official report goes,
Cooking Mama 2 is the sequel to the best-selling cooking simulation game, Cooking Mama, and promises more culinary fun and even tastier gameplay as Mama cooks up a spicy storm with new recipes, twice as many mini-games and an all-new multiplayer mode to challenge other players to a 'cook off', Mama style.

"Following on from the phenomenal success of Cooking Mama, we're thrilled to be bringing Cooking Mama 2 to Europe," commented Ian Howe, Managing Director, 505 Games. "Cooking Mama delivered a truly original IP and Cooking Mama 2 promises to build on its success"

The original Cooking Mama game, launched in May 2007 on Wii, is an original and fun title, ensuring that players of any age or skill level are able to enjoy a simple and educative gameplay experience. However, not all gamers have enjoyed a "simple" and "fun" experience with the game. Simple operations such as rolling truffles or cracking eggs are quite difficult for the player to perfo, if not using a set of instructions. So here are some tips on how to successfully flip items in the frying pan, stir soup, crack eggs and more, using the Wii Remote, straight from the publisher.

- For rolling truffles, place the Wii Remote flat in the palm of your hand, as if it were the truffle. Once in your hand, roll the Wii Remote in your hand as if it were the truffle.
- For egg cracking, hold the Wii Remote up in the air vertically and bring it down as if there were an invisible bowl in front of you.
- To grind meat, hold the Wii Remote horizontally in your hand and make the crank motion as if there were a meat grinder in front of you.
- For stirring, hold the Wii Remote upside down and stir as if it were a spoon.
- To flip items in the frying pan, flick your wrist as you would with a real pan. Three flips consecutively will earn you bonus points.
- Cracking 3 eggs with only one initial attempt will earn you bonus points.
- In certain recipes, you can turn the heat up or down on the stove before the direction reaches the line.

Let's hope Cooking Mama 2 is slightly easier, not too easy though. The game is slated for an early 2008 release and will be available exclusively on Nintendo DS and Wii.
