500px has released version 2.6 of its photography application for iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad, offering the ability to subscribe to 500px Plus via in-app purchase and gain unlimited uploads, the ability to sell works, unlimited private sets, and advanced statistics. The company also announced about.me integration.

Easily one of the best places to find awesome photography sets from artists all over the world, 500px is expanding its presence in the iOS ecosystem with an updated version of its client app adding the ability to subscribe to a 500px Plus account, which offers “unlimited uploads along with other great web-based features on 500px.com.”

The Plus service is reportedly for those with a passion for photography. “Upload as many photos as you want and gain insight through statistics,” says the company. But everyone can apply.

Not only can you share an unlimited amount of works with the 500px community, but you can also sell your photos as beautiful wall art through 500px Art. Alternately, you can license them through 500px Prime.

The Plus subscription, available as a $2.99 / €2.69 in-app purchase, also offers unlimited Private Sets. You can organize your photos as private or public.

Finally, you get some advanced statistics too: “Gain insight into your photos and make informed decisions. Put your most popular photo on your portfolio, share the right photos with the right audience,” says the developer. Download 500px 2.6 on any iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad running iOS 7.0.

Starting today there is also the option to link your 500px account to about.me, the network that lets you find out who’s interested in you and discover people who have things in common with you.

“We are proud to announce that 500px is now integrated with about.me,” reads the announcement on the 500px blog. “If you are an about.me member, you’ll now be able to add your beautiful 500px photography to your identity online. You can do this by adding the 500px app to your about.me profile.”

“A curated collection of 500px photos are also now available to use as about.me backgrounds. This will help you personalize your profile even more by being able to choose a photo that truly represents you,” adds Alexandra Kim, a blogger for 500px.

The about.me integration is part of the Partner Program at 500px, which allows you to have your photo considered by dragging and dropping photos from your Library to your Organizer sidebar in the “Partner Program” folder.
