In the end, the only ones that earn anything are the crooks

Facebook walls are becoming invaded with a message that claims anyone can receive 5000 Facebook credits, free of charge and with no strings attached. In reality, they will be forced to participate in a survey that will earn cybercrooks a lot of money.

“Get your FREE 5000 FACEBOOK CREDITS! NO SCAM NO surveys NO waste of time no task its totally FREE this promo is available for the first 1000 persons only... CHECK IT OUT ENJOY..i got mine and it works get yours here [LINK],” reads the message provided by Hoax Slayer.

Every single word from this alert is a lie, since this is a scam and no one will actually receive the much-promised Facebook credits.

The entire process is simple and very beneficial for the crooks who can gain tons of affiliate cash for each user they redirect to a certain website.

First, they urge members to share the message. This is done to make sure as many victims as possible fall for the cleverly designed scam. Once this step is completed, the user is presented with another great offer that promises cash, a BlackBerry or a lifetime supply of biscuits.

After that, the victim is bombarded with all sorts of advertisements, surveys and forms that request personal information, each page promising to be the last step before winning the much-promised prize.

The crooks that set up the whole scheme will earn a certain amount of money for each piece of information the Facebook customer provides, but the 5000 credits are never received by anyone.

I advise you to stay clear of such scams and if you already fell for it, be sure to remove any traces of the false advertisement from your wall. Also, depending on what type of information you supplied during the surveys, change your passwords and closely monitor your emails for any suspicious messages that may further target your assets.
