If not by that much, sales will at least grow by 20%

Even though analysts keep saying how weak PC shipments have been getting, we are now faced with a report that predicts the opposite.

We suppose that while PC sales are weak right now, they could get better by the time the second half of the year rolls around.

Either that, or PC makers will have no choice but to ramp up component orders after Intel launches the Haswell series of CPUs, and NVIDIA/AMD reveal some new graphics products and, in the latter's case, APUs.

In any event, sources cited by Digitimes say that the PC component market will experience a growth of at least 20% and as much as 50% in the second half of 2013.

Shipments will begin rising in May and will stay strong for the rest of the third quarter.
