Rapper 50 Cent declared during an interview that Kanye West owes him his success, because if it wasn't for his aggressive music, people wouldn't listen West's soft music.

50 Cent, 30 years old, told journalists that Kanye was the first thing that came along after his music, and that's why he thinks West is successful because of him.

50 also declared that Kanye is a good producer, but he doesn't have a style of his own to impress people with.

He says: "I feel like Kanye West is successful because of me. After 50 Cent, (hip-hop fans) was looking for something non-confrontational, and they went after the first thing that came along.

"That was Kanye West, and his record took off. He puts together witty phrases and he's a great talent as a producer, but I still don't know who Kanye West is when I listen to him."
