Police are currently investigating an incident involving rapper Rick Ross, in which he crashed his car in an apartment building as he was trying to escape gunfire in a drive-by shooting. It wasn’t as bad as it might seem, 50 Cent says on his Twitter.

Fiddy has been known to pick feuds with other rappers and perhaps this is a clear example of that. The bottom line though is that he doesn’t believe Ross was really the intended target in the shooting.

As he sees it, either Ross staged the whole thing for publicity reasons or someone was just out to scare him.

“Hahaha fat boy hit the building?lol it looks staged to me. No hole's in da car,” Fiddy tweets, including a link to an Instragram photo of Ross’ Rolls Royce crashed into a building.

A while later, 50 still found the incident amusing, to say the least.

“hahaha that boy was spooked. I ride like OBAMA level 6 built proof, bomb proof, you already know. #SMSaudio,” he writes.

As we also informed you earlier today, police have confirmed that one of the two passengers in the Royce crashed was Rick Ross. The other was female and is believed to be the rapper’s current girlfriend.

Reports online suggest that Ross had been or was going to visit a house he’d recently purchased in the area when a car pulled up next to his, and the people inside opened fire.

About 20 shots were fired while the rapper was trying to make a clean getaway. Instead, he crashed into an apartment building but, luckily, neither he nor the other passenger was harmed in the incident.

Police don’t have any suspects yet and no arrests have been made because the assailants fled the scene before cops arrived.

However, they hope surveillance footage from nearby cameras will offer a clue as to who they might have been.
