The posters for "Get Rich or Die Trying" movie were taken down because of the reaction of local community.
Los Angeles County Supervisor had written to Paramount Pictures, urging them to remove them, as they glorify gun violence.
The images show 50 Cent holding a gun in his left hand and a microphone in the other.
After a rally organized by activists in the Los Angeles neighborhood of Hyde Park, Paramount Pictures representatives backed up.
The leader of the protest, Najee Ali, described the victory as a "David versus Goliath" one.
"We have a community group going up against a major studio, and they backed down.
"So everyone was happy with Paramount Pictures, and we commend them for showing corporate responsibility", Ali declared.
The film is about 50 Cent's life (real name Curtis Jackson). He used to be a drug dealer before turning his back to crime and becoming a famous rapper. Jackson was jailed for selling drugs in the past.
50 Cent named the movie after his first hit album, released in 2002, "Get Rich or Die Trying".
