The power supplies may have defective components, hence the worry

It has been a while since we last wrote about PCs or PC components that may or may not explode.

Not that Lenovo worries are that its ThinkCentre computers will explode, but overheating is still a possibility.

Bu we are getting ahead of ourselves. Basically, about 50,000 Lenovo ThinkCentre M70z and M90z PCs have been recalled.

According to the company, their power supplies can overheat because of a component that may or may not be defective.

Normally, this wouldn't be so hard to fix, but the systems are all-in-ones, which means that the power supplies can't be replaced that easily.

Lenovo is now preparing procedures for fixing the problem, so go here to read the how and the what if you think you are affected (the recalled units were sold between May 2010 and January 2012).
