Certified vet is working around the clock to get it back in shape

Only recently, a certified veterinarian technician from Portland, Nora Vanatta, took it to herself to help a 5-year-old dachshund get back in shape, after its owners gave it so much food the animal ended up weighing a whopping 70 pounds (31,74 kilograms).

As sources report, Obie's waistline is presently keeping it from getting around, which means that the only way for it to lose weight is to get started on an intense hydrotherapy regime. This is because simply chasing after balls in the park would be a bit too much for its joints.

Because Obie's fitness program is bound to cost quite a few bucks, Nora Vanatta is asking that those who wish to help this dog get back in shape contribute by donating whatever amounts of money they have available.

Here's hoping this Dachshund will soon be able to go for long walks without having to carry this much weight with it.

Down below you have a video showing Obie trying to balance its weigh in order to get around.
