Over the past few months, the Sri Lankan government has been targeted on numerous occasions by cybercriminals and it appears that things are not about to change too soon. Today, five websites owned by the government have been breached.

Websites of the Inventors Commission, the Ministry of Environment, the Ministry of Agriculture, the Department of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources, and the Ministry of Child Development and Women's Affairs have been hacked and defaced, Cyber News informs.

The one responsible for the defacements is Haxor Hussey, a Pakistani hacker who has previously breached numerous government sites, including ones from India, Mexico, Colombia, and Bangladesh.

At the time of writing, all the breached websites still hosted the defacement pages added by the hacker.

Here is the list of mirrors for the defaced websites: fisheriesdept.gov.lk, agrimin.gov.lk, childwomenmin.gov.lk, environmentmin.gov.lk, slic.gov.lk.

Other high-profile Sri Lankan websites previously breached by hackers include the ones of the Ports Authority, the Board of Investment, and the Minister of Sports.
