Major surprise from HP

HP has just unveiled some new personal computing products with the occasion of an evening gala on the eve of New York's Fashion Week. The launch has been surprising for many people, as the company has given no previous hints on the scale that this event will have.

HP iPAQ 900 Series Business Manager brings HP iPAQ 910/914, which is a quadband handset, running on Windows Mobile 6 Pro. The QWERTY keypad is a major advantage that this device can bring its users for introducing large text messages as easy as possible. This device also brings HSDPA technology, which makes possible data transfer speeds of up to 3.6 Mbps. Moreover, it also has a 3 megapixel camera, Wi-Fi connectivity and A-GPS, one extremely sought feature in mobile phones nowadays.

HP iPAQ 600 Series Business Navigator is represented by HP iPAQ 610/614 and also comes with HSDPA, Wi-Fi and tri-band GSM features. This PDA phone also has a Smart touch Wheel, a three-way thumb wheel and a touchscreen, which makes handling it fairly easy.

Part of HP iPAQ 300 Series Travel Companion, the HP iPAQ 310/314 runs on Windows Mobile 5, which might be considered a drawback for it. This navigation device has custom HP interface and Windows Media DRM supporting music/video player. Moreover, it can also be used as a Bluetooth based handsfree answering system for the cellphone.

HP iPAQ 210/214 is part of the HP iPAQ 200 Series Enterprise Handheld and is a Windows Mobile 6 Classic based Pocket PC, with a 4-inch display capable of a resolution of 480 x 640 pixels.

Last, but not least, HP iPAQ 110/114 is a HP iPAQ 100 Series classic Handheld traditional PDA with Windows Mobile 6. The device also brings Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Microsoft Mobile Office and Personal Productivity applications.
