14 DAY TRIAL // Zbigniew Konojacki, the creator of the 4MLinux project, an independent GNU/Linux operating system, has been happy to inform Softpedia earlier about the immediate availability for download of the Beta build of his upcoming 4MRescueKit 16.0 Live CD.
Based on the latest 4MLinux 16.0 Beta operating system, the 4MRescueKit 16.0 distrolette is now available for Beta testing and includes the most recent release of 4MLinux's sister projects, including but not limited to Antivirus Live CD 16.0-0.99, 4MRecover 16.0, BakAndImgCD 16.0, and 4MParted 16.0.
Announcements for all the aforementioned Live CDs have been published right here on our website during the last two months or so. This means that our dedicated readers should have an idea of what was implemented or changed in each one of them, and they're all available for testing as part of today's 4MRescueKit 16.0 Beta.
"4MRescueKit provides its users with software for antivirus protection, data backup, disk partitioning, and data recovery. It is distributed in the form of a multiboot CD, which includes four (extremely small) operating systems," says Zbigniew Konojacki in the announcement. "This release has Antivirus Live CD 16.0-0.99, BakAndImgCD 16.0, 4MParted 16.0, and 4MRecover 16.0."
4MRescueKit 16.0 will be based on 4MLinux 16.0
As the developer notes in the above quote, users will be able to use any of those 4MLinux-based Live CD to do different administrative tasks, such as virus scanning, disk imaging/cloning, system backup, disk partitioning, and system recovery. The final release of 4MRescueKit 16.0 will be based on 4MLinux 16.0.
