14 DAY TRIAL // 4MLinux developer Zbigniew Konojacki has informed Softpedia today, June 12, 2016, about the general availability of the Beta release of his upcoming 4MParted 18.0 disk partitioning Live CD.
Based on the Beta version of 4MLinux 18.0 Core, the main edition of the 4MLinux independent operating system on which all the other flavors are based, including 4MRescueKit, 4MRecover, Antivirus Live CD, and BakAndImgCD, 4MParted 18.0, has entered Beta stages of development and ships with Gparted 0.25.0.
For those of you not in the known, 4MParted is a very small Live CD, which we usually call a distrolette because it is not an operating system that you can install and use on your personal computer, but a simple tool built around a single open-source software, GParted, and designed for disk partitioning operations.
4MParted is usually distributed as part of the 4MRescueKit project, which also includes the 4MRecover Live CD based on TestDisk and PhotoRec data recovery utilities. The Beta of 4MParted 18.0 is built around GParted 0.25.0, despite the fact that GParted 0.26.0 is the latest version available.

So we hope the developer will update GParted to version 0.26.0 for the final release of his 4MParted 18.0 Live CD, which should be out sometime this summer. Until then, you can download 4MParted 18.0 Beta Live ISO image right now and take it for a test drive. 4MParted can be used on any PC, independently of the operating system installed.
Please keep in mind that this is a Beta version of 4MParted 18.0, meaning that it might contain some unresolved issues that should be fixed until the final release. Therefore, we don't recommend using it for production work. Also, 4MParted only includes the GParted tool, so you won't get access to anything else on this small Live CD when used in graphical mode.
