4MLinux Server Edition, a special distribution based on Busybox, Dropbear, OpenSSH, and PuTTY, is now at version 7.1 Beta.

According to the developers, 4MLinux Server Edition 7.1 is just an updated version of 4MLinux 7.0 Server Edition using 4MLinux 7.1 as the core system.

Highlights of 4MLinux Server Edition 7.1:

• FTP (vsftpd 3.0.2), HTTP with HTTPS (Busybox 1.21.1), SSH with SFTP (OpenSSH 6.2p2), and telnet have been added; • PHP 5.5.4 (with cURL 7.32.0 support), Perl 5.18.1, and DBMS (SQLite 3.8.0.2, and MariaDB 5.5.33a with Adminer 3.7.1) have been implemented; • 4MLinux Firewall 7.1 (based on iptables 1.4.20) and Clam AntiVirus 0.98 are used for security.

4MLinux is a mini Linux distro focusing on the following "4M"s: Maintenance (system rescue Live CD), Multimedia (e.g., playing video DVDs), Miniserver (using the inetd daemon), and Mystery (Linux games).
