4MLinux Core, a mini Linux distro focusing on Maintenance (system rescue Live CD), Multimedia (e.g., playing video DVDs), Miniserver (using the inetd daemon), and Mystery (Linux games), is now at version 7.1.

4MLinux Core 7.1 integrates all the new features introduced in the previous versions, with an additional possibility of a fully automatic upgrade to 4MLinux Allinone Edition, when it becomes available. It will also become the basis for all 4MLinux distributions.

The distribution is based on Linux kernel 3.10.11 and makes use of glibc 2.17, and Busybox 1.21.1. All the 4MLinux 7.1 applications have been compiled under Fedora 19 (x86/32-bit/SMP) with the GNU Compiler Collection 4.8.1.

A complete list of changes and new features for this Linux distribution is available in the official announcement. Download 4MLinux Core 7.1 right now from Softpedia.
