Korea has recently received its first 4G WiBro compatible handset. LG-KC1 only intends to open the path for future devices capable of providing this type of technology. Koreans will have all the best devices to pride with, as they will be the first ones to provide such evolved technology at a large scale.

The LG-KC1
smartphone runs on a Marvell PXA320 application processor (Internally code named Monahans), compatible with Korea Telecom's high speed WiBro 4G network. This is the only area in the world where such evolved performances are possible. Because of this, Korea makes an excellent market for introducing handsets capable of responding to such high demands.

"The new LG-KC1 is designed to offer the advanced functions of a smartphone, high-bandwidth wireless connectivity, and outstanding multimedia capabilities with an attractive slim design", said JJ Lee, DMP Lab Vice President & PC Division General Manager, Digital Media Company, for LG Electronics. The device manages to bring solutions to a huge number of evolved functions.

The high performances that this handset is capable of providing largely rest on the components that it uses. "Marvell's PXA320 application processor is designed to allow superb gaming and multimedia functions such as movies and 4G mobile internet while enabling users to synchronize their email and calendars with their PC over the high speed WiBro 4G network", JJ Lee further added.

LG-KC1 mobile phone includes some highly evolved features, with the WiBro 4G network being only one of them. Apart from this, there is also added a terrestrial digital multimedia broadcasting (DMB) for mobile television, one feature that many people look to have in their high-end devices nowadays. Moreover, the phone also packs a 2-megapixel camera and Bluetooth connectivity.

Marvell's PXA320 application processor is only one of the family which is supposed to bring high performances and efficient solutions on the Korean telecom market from now on.
