Yesterday, Canadian mobile phone maker Research In Motion made its upcoming BlackBerry 10 operating system official, and also let slip some info on the 4G LTE-enabled flavor of BlackBerry Play Book that it is working on.

The company officially confirmed the forthcoming release of this device in February, during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, but kept mum on the release date, as well as on the features planned for the tablet.

Yesterday, however, the company presented to a small number of people some of the capabilities of this device, and confirmed that it would be powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, and that NFC (Near Field Communication) would also be included.

The 4G LTE PlayBook should sport the same 7-inch screen as the original, while running under OS 2.0 or newer. RIM hasn’t unveiled other official details on this tablet PC so far.
