T-Mobile is yet another wireless carrier in the United States set to include in its offering a new BlackBerry smartphone from Research In Motion before the end of the ongoing month.

The company has just announced that the BlackBerry Bold 9900 smartphone will become the first 4G BlackBerry device available on its HSPA+ network.

Available for purchase starting with August 31st, the smartphone is already on pre-order for those who would like to reserve a unit ahead of anyone else.

Measuring only 10.5mm, the new device comes with a powerful 1.2GHz application processor, and pairs a touchscreen display with a QWERTY keyboard in the already popular Bold form factor.

The handset was packed with Liquid Graphics technology 24-bit high-resolution graphics aimed at providing users with an enhanced experience when enjoying multimedia files or when working.

“T-Mobile is excited to add a BlackBerry smartphone to T-Mobile’s best 4G product lineup ever,” said Andrew Morrison, vice president, product management, T-Mobile USA.

“With the new BlackBerry Bold 9900, we are offering our socially-active and business-minded customers a powerful device with a unique proposition - the pairing of a nationwide 4G network with the mobile communications efficiency that has become synonymous with BlackBerry smartphones.”

The smartphone is based on the BlackBerry 7 OS, and can offer appealing new features like a next-generation BlackBerry browser with HTML5 support, and more.

The BlackBerry Bold 9900 also comes with the latest BBM (BlackBerry Messenger) version, an updated Social Feeds (2.0) application, and Facebook for BlackBerry 2.0, which comes with Facebook chat and BBM integration.

“We continue to deliver innovative products for our customers, and we’re excited to offer our first 4G BlackBerry smartphone,” said Femi Lakeru, vice president of business sales, T-Mobile USA.

“Since T-Mobile offers 4G speeds in more places than any other wireless broadband network in the U.S., CIOs can trust that the BlackBerry Bold 9900 will give their employees the ultimate combination of speed, productivity and security.”

Starting today, T-Mobile users can pre-order the handset from the wireless carrier, and will be able to purchase it starting with August 31st for $299.99 after a $50 mail-in-rebate, with the signing of a two-year contract agreement.
