47-year-old actress Holly Hunter and her partner, actor Gordon MacDonald, have welcomed twins, People magazine reported on its Web site Tuesday. "She had the babies," Hunter's publicist said. "They are happy and healthy."
Hunter's publicist hasn't yet revealed more details about the babies; that's why so far it is unknown the sex of Hunter and MacDonald's first children. Both Holly and her boyfriend live the first parenting experience.
Holly Hunter, who voiced the role of superhero mom Helen Parr in "The Incredibles," will now have maternal experience to draw on if there's a sequel.
The Oscar winner met MacDonald whilst performing in the 2004 London West End production of 'By the Bog of Cats'.
The actress, who was formerly married to cinematographer Janusz Kaminski for six years, had her first success in "Raising Arizona" in 1987's Coen brother's comedy.
After that, Hunter was awarded an Academy Award for her role in the 1993 film 'The Piano', and was an Oscar nominee for her performances in 'Broadcast News', 'The Firm' and 'Thirteen'.
Hunter is the second Hollywood star in recent times to celebrate a multiple birth, with fellow Oscar winner Julia Roberts giving birth to twins in November 2004.
