“Baywatch” bombshell teases new projects, says she’s evolving as an artist

Pamela Anderson is everywhere these days but it’s only in the pages of the latest issue of the French publication Purple that she’s showing off her legendary body in all its glory, in a very artsy and stunning spread by photographer Sante D’Orazio.

The former “Baywatch” star, who posed for the first time for Playboy about 25 years ago, is now 46 but you wouldn’t say she’s a day over 20 from the photos made available online by Purple magazine.

Speaking of the pics, the moment they were released online, they caused such an influx of traffic on the site that it crashed. If you take a few moments to check them out, you will understand why but we’ll say just this: in the photo above, Pamela is at her most dressed.

*Please note that discretion is heavily recommended before clicking through for the photos, as they contain images that might offend and that are absolutely not suitable for a work environment.

In the accompanying interview, also taken by D’Orazio, Pamela teases a new project, of which she says she’s not really at liberty to discuss in any detail but which, she promises, will see her evolve as an artist.

She also touches upon the topic of her much-mediated pixie cut, which she debuted last October and which made her look like Anderson Cooper at first, or so she thought. She says it’s made many people in the industry take her more seriously because they no longer saw her as the cartoon character she became in her years-long career, during which time she only sported long hair.

She’s excited for this new stage in her life and her career, itching to prove that she’s more than the bubbly blonde we came to know on “Baywatch.” She’s also pretty excited about how the Purple spread came out and we honestly can’t say we blame her.

“There’s a bubbling up of interest I didn’t expect. So I’m going with the flow. Collaborating with people I admire is a dream come true. Working with Purple is really exciting. I’m a bit of an exhibitionist, and I like having the pictures taken. But seeing these was really something different, something we did. It’s like a launching pad for what I’ll do now,” Pamela says.

“While looking at the pictures I was thinking to myself, is that really me? I mean you don’t take a bad picture — people always look their best in your pictures. It still was a shock to see how strong I look,” she adds.
