Microsoft's Kinect has really managed to show the world the benefits of motion control technologies, and it seems that, now, more and more manufacturers are starting to implement such control solutions within their various devices, the latest we've come across being a company called Evoluce.

So, the respective company has developed a series of large-size display solutions that they call the I-VOLUCE, consisting of widescreen HDTVs (46-inch LCD panels) that are controlled directly via their users' gestures.

This is possible due to the fact that these display solutions come packed with “integrated 3D-sensing technologies”, although Evoluce doesn't provide any significant information on the specific nature of the respective technologies.

However, they also mention the fact that the “sensing” range is set at around 4 meters, which makes it particularly suitable for all sorts of digital signage applications.

Beside the I-VOLUCE, the company also unveiled the Evoluce TWO 46-inch display, capable of providing multitouch and gesture control on a Full HD horizontal LCD with the help of MIM 3.0 multitouch software, that allows finger input detection up to 6 users simultaneously.

And since we're reached the topic of digital signage, it's also interesting to note that the actual LCD panels employed by Evoluce are NEC P461 Public Display solutions, delivering Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolutions and sporting scratch-resistant glass, as well as VESA mounting solutions.

Plus, given the fact that these displays have a very slender form factor, featuring a depth of just 18.5 cm, means that the unit can be installed in just about any type of location (public venues, offices, etc.) and be used for a variety of applications.

"Direct and intuitive interfaces will change the way we interact with the PC and consumer electronics in everyday life." says Wolfgang Herfurtner, CEO of Evoluce AG, adding that "users will enjoy the great design and the amazing possibilities of fascinating interaction!".

Evoluce's I-VOLUCE and Evoluce TWO are available as we speak for prices starting at EURO 3,995.00 and EURO 4,995.00, respectively.
