Apple is cutting $440.00 off a refurbished 20-inch iMac, with 2GB of memory, a 320GB hard drive, an 8x SuperDrive (DVD±R DL/DVD±RW/CD-RW), NVIDIA GeForce 9400M graphics with 256MB memory, and built-in iSight camera for those looking to nab themselves a refurbished Mac.

By visiting Apple’s Special Deals Section, Apple fans can find a couple of attractive offers on refurbished Macs, one of which has caught our eye.

We’re talking about the iMac 20-inch 2.66GHz Intel Core 2 Duo which was originally priced at $1199 but can now be acquired for just $759, as Apple is trying to deplete stock of returned units.

Customers can expect a good working system, as every Apple refurb undergoes the company’s stringent refurbishment process, prior to being offered for sale.

According to the Mac maker, each of its Certified Refurbished Products:

- is fully tested (including full burn-in testing); - is refurbished with replacement parts for any defective modules identified in testing; - is put through a thorough cleaning process and inspection; - is repackaged (including appropriate manuals, cables, new boxes, etc.); - includes the operating software originally shipped with the unit and the custom software offered with that system; - is given a new refurbished part number and serial number; - (and, finally) is placed into a Final QA inspection prior to being added to sellable refurbished stock.

This refurbished iMac boasts the a 2.66GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor (L2 Cache 6MB shared; frontside bus 1066MHz), 2GB of RAM, (two 1GB SO-DIMMs), a 320GB Serial ATA hard drive spinning at 7200 rpm, slot-loading 8x SuperDrive with 4x double-layer burning (DVD±R DL/DVD±RW/CD-RW), a 20-inch glossy widescreen TFT active-matrix LCD display with 1680 x 1050 resolution, and NVIDIA GeForce 9400M graphics with 256MB of DDR3 SDRAM shared with main memory.

Also on the video side, Apple mentions the built-in iSight, Mini DisplayPort output with support for DVI, dual-link DVI, and VGA video connections via adapter.
