15 people were inside a building in the center of the Czech capital when it blew up

Around 40 people have been injured in a massive blast in the center of Prague, in the Czech Republic.

Footage of the aftermath of the explosion shows firefighters, ambulances and police cars covering the area and helicopters hovering the scene.

According to the Daily Mail, the building on Divadelni Street was damaged and those inside have been injured following a natural gas explosion.

Officials cannot provide the exact number of people injured in the blast, as they believe that some are still trapped under the wreckage.

In a second video posted below, you can see several people wounded and bloodied as they are attended to by emergency personnel.

The windows of the facility located near the National Theatre have been shattered, as have those on neighboring buildings, prompting an evacuation.
