German artist Aram Bartholl has come up with an interesting idea. He took the 4.7 million passwords leaked online by hackers after breaching the systems of social media website LinkedIn, and printed them in books.

The 4.7 million passwords cover a total of 8 books, each of them with 800 pages. Each of the books titled “Forgot your password?” measures 21 x 27 cm (8.2 x 10.6 inches).

It’s worth pointing out that that the passwords have been arranged in alphabetical order. The cover of each book shows which of the passwords are in it.

The books are being displayed at various art galleries, and visitors are allowed to check if their own passwords are in them. Take a look at the photo gallery below to see what this artwork looks like.
