Mobile phone users in the UK, especially those who are very fond of the music they are listening to, have now yet another reason to rejoice. Wireless carrier 3UK has announced that the Spotify for Symbian application is now available for download for its users, and that they can enjoy it at the moment on a wide range of devices.

The new Spotify for Symbian software solution can be downloaded through Planet3, and it comes to all those who own a Nokia 5800, Nokia N86, Sony Ericsson Satio, Nokia N95 8GB or a Nokia N97, but also to other handsets. The Spotify Mobile music service is now a little closer to them, yet one should also note that those willing to try the services will have to pay £9.99 per month for an agreement of over six months.

The launch of the Spotify for Symbian application for 3UK customers is said to be part of a deal that has been inked during the last month. What the service will offer to users includes the possibility to access a music library that includes more than six million tracks, something that should appeal a lot to music lovers in the UK. The service will also enable users to share and listen to music on their phone.

Those living in the UK and which are also part of 3UK's subscriber base might want to learn that the entire list of devices that currently feature support for the Spotify for Symbian application from the carrier includes the Sony Ericsson Satio, Nokia 6220 classic, Nokia 5800, Nokia E63, Nokia N86, Nokia E71, Nokia N95, Nokia N95 8GB, Nokia N96, and Nokia N97 phones.

While this is only an application available exclusively for the users who meet the aforementioned conditions, others can also enjoy access to the Spotify application on their Symbian-based smartphones. The application has been launched for the platform not to long ago, and has also received an update since, though it is still only in a beta flavor.
