Rumored to be released by North America's largest mobile carrier since last year, Sony Ericsson Z750a will finally be available to AT&T's subscribers, starting from April, for $49.99, with a $100 mail-in-rebate and new 2-year contract. Z750a is the first 3G enabled mobile phone from Sony Ericsson to reach the US, and it's exclusively launched in the country by the double T company, so users who have contracts with other carriers and want the phone will have to stop wanting it or make a new deal with AT&T.

Being the American version of Z750, Sony Ericsson Z750a packs about the same features. The handset comes in a clamshell form factor and looks pretty stylish, measuring - when closed - 3.8 x 1.9 x 0.8 inches (97 x 48 x 20 millimeters) and weighing 3.9 ounces (110.5 grams). The new Z750a offers quad-band GSM connectivity (850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz) as well as tri-band HSDPA connectivity, allowing users to enjoy high data transfer speeds.

Other notable features of Z750a include a hidden external OLED screen, a 2.2 inch TFT internal display with 240 x 320 pixels and 256K colors support, Media Player, AT&T CV video service, AT&T's Music ID music recognition application, AT&T Mobile Email, Full HTML browser, stereo Bluetooth with A2DP, USB 2.0, 3D gaming capabilities, a 2 Megapixel camera and microSD card support for up to 8GB.

"Representing one of our most distinctive and colorful 3G clamshells, the Z750a will appeal to those who want to do more with their phone - share music, high-quality pictures, browse the Internet - and project a sophisticated image all their own. We are delighted that AT&T will offer this device in the U.S. along with the hugely successful W580 Walkman Phone," said Karen Morris, vice president of marketing for Sony Ericsson North America.
