The Nintendo 3DS has suffered from a lack of quality titles when it was originally released and Nintendo recently stepped in to deliver some high quality games but the platform is still lacking some quality third party titles.

This might change with the early 2012 launch of Beyond the Labyrinth, the tri-Ace created role playing game that is set to deliver a strong tactical battle system.

The game will have real time engagements where the player needs to mix three types of elemental attacks in order to defeat enemies that have a mix of resistances.

The challenge is that when the player matches his elemental attack to the vulnerability of the target also gives it a chance to heal up on the next turn, which means that gamers will need to think quickly in order to mix strong and weak attacks to keep enemies off-balance and minimize the chance that they recover.

tri-Ace is best known for creating Star Ocean and Resonance of Fate.
