3DMark, the most popular performance benchmark out there, has arrived on Android, after being officially confirmed for the platform several months ago.

With this app, which is available for download for free, users will be able to test the performance of their smartphones or tablet PCs, as long as they run under Android 3.1 or newer OS flavors.

Furthermore, they will also be able to compare the test results with those of other Android devices, or with iOS, Windows and Windows RT machines.

The application is available with support for over 1,000 different Android devices, delivering users and developers alike an industry standard benchmark for graphics performance measurement, while also offering a professional level diagnostic tool.

The app weighs 283MB, but will also download additional files. Users can find the app on this page on Softpedia.
